This policy describes the actual lightweight demonstration implementation. Advanced Driving School is a fictional demo identity, so no unsupported legal controller or address is invented.
Information submitted
The Contact form asks for your name, email address, optional telephone number, preferred contact method, service area, transmission preference, lesson type, optional message and privacy acknowledgement.
How the form processes information
PHP validates the submission on the server. Security checks include a signed expiring token, request-origin validation, a hidden honeypot, strict field allowlists, per-field and request-size limits, and header-injection checks. JavaScript is not the security boundary.
Email delivery
The architecture uses PHPMailer with authenticated SMTP, a fixed server-controlled sender and recipient, and the validated visitor email only as Reply-To. The final public demonstration mode keeps live mail delivery disabled, so a normal demo submission is not sent to a company inbox.
Storage and temporary rate limiting
The website has no database, CRM, account system or enquiry archive. A one-way keyed representation of the requester IP address is used in a temporary server file to enforce a limit of three accepted attempts within fifteen minutes. The temporary record contains timestamps, not the form fields.
Cookies, analytics and third parties
No analytics, advertising trackers, map APIs, postcode APIs or non-essential cookies are implemented. Local images, CSS and JavaScript are self-hosted. Official GOV.UK links are normal external links and are not embedded.
Retention and rights
No client-approved retention period or legal controller identity has been supplied for this fictional demo. Those details must be completed before adapting the project to a real organisation. Do not submit sensitive or urgent information through the demonstration form.
